Tax Reduction and those who are 70 ½ Years and Older - PMD Alliance

Did you know there are new ways to support PMD Alliance and qualify for a tax reduction at the same time?! For those that are 70 ½ years and older, this applies to you! PMD Alliance would like to share some important and exciting news.

The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016 made permanent the option of qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) from individual retirement accounts. This means if you are 70½ and take annual distributions from your IRA, you may be able to make a gift directly from your IRA to PMD Alliance. Through this act, you can save the income taxes from your IRA with a tax reduction.  We do encourage you to consult with your tax advisor for all tax and financial advice.

Here at PMD Alliance, we provide a wide variety of educational workshops for support group leaders, people living with a movement disorder, care partners, and adult children of people impacted by movement disorders. We serve people across the United States and are not affiliated with any medical practice or institution. With your support, we can continue to build capacity for people impacted by movement disorders to live life more fully!
