We Need Your Voice!
If you are a New Mexican impacted by Parkinson’s, join our advocacy efforts and share your voice! Help New Mexico legislators understand the impact of Parkinson disease, and keep our community’s needs in the spotlight. The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Movement Disorders Center construction is underway, but still needs funding for faculty positions. Let’s build on our momentum and get this done!
- Write your legislator to thank them for their past support of the UNM Movement Disorder Center and ask them to show their continued support by approving the capital outlay budget for UNM. This budget will include the operating funds for the new Center. Not sure of who to write to? Look up your legislators by address, district, or name on the NM Legislature’s website and get instant access to their email address and phone number.
- Join PMD Alliance for Parkinson’s Day at the Roundhouse on January 28th at 10 AM. Our keynote speaker will be Senator Jerry Ortiz y Pino, who will be speaking about updates from last session and plans for this upcoming session.
