“Like tiny seeds with potent power to push through tough ground and become mighty trees, we hold innate reserves of unimaginable strength. We are resilient.” —Catherine DeVrye
It’s a word we use time and time again in the PMD Alliance community, and if you’re living with a movement disorder or caring for someone who is, you know it’s not just a word. It’s a way of life.
We root down in our reality—and we grow in it.
As we celebrate our sixth birthday this October, we do so with sincere gratitude for the growth we have achieved together.
What began as a small spark—a tiny seed—has grown into an international organization that offers resources, programming, and support to everyone impacted by a movement disorder diagnosis. Thank you for joining us and making this shared vision possible.
Your ability to show incredible resilience in the face of the challenges that come along with life with a movement disorder is truly inspiring, and it’s what motivates us to continue this work for another six years and beyond. (Keep reading to learn how generous donors are helping to ensure we keep growing together with a $30,000 match for our sixth birthday—and how you can join them!)
As I think about the future of PMD Alliance and all we hope to achieve as a community, I think about those tiny seeds. Individually, we might feel small. Together, rooted down in our resilience and ready to support everyone impacted by a movement disorder diagnosis, we exhibit unimaginable strength.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting us share your journey, and for sharing your strength with us.
We look forward to many more years of learning, living, and connecting with you!
