Training Tailored to Your Community

Pioneered by experts in geriatrics and Parkinson’s, our Certified Parkinson Disease Care™ (CPDC™) accreditation program has been operating for over four years in six states and counting. To become a CPDC™ facility, select staff are trained to create and deliver care plans with specific attention to the symptoms, medications management, and therapy considerations for a person with Parkinson disease. This sets your team apart from the pack, reassuring people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones that (unlike your competitors) your staff will provide informed care and meet their challenges with compassion.

PMD Alliance understands that the needs of every facility are unique. While we have standardized introductory training, everything following is tailored to what your facility needs to enhance daily quality of life for people with Parkinson’s.

With that in mind, CPDC™ offers a wholistic train-the-trainer model, inducting Parkinson’s Care Advocates at each accredited facility. These Advocates serve as role models and are responsible for building a culture of PD awareness and education in your staff. They help inform the monthly resources and situation-based examples that will be provided by PMD Alliance to empower your whole team.

CPDC™ Benefits

In addition to orientation materials to train participating staff, accredited facilities also receive:

Monthly “CPDC™ Digest” resources and hands-on educational materials, exploring different topics related to Parkinson’s care.

A marketing tool kit to help you use your CPDC™ accreditation to stand out from other facilities in your region.

Promotion to the broader PD community, with both a listing on our website and a post tagging your facility on our social media.

Access to PD community, culture, and knowledge building opportunities through PMD Alliance’s live, online programs and recorded webinars.
