Dr. Hermanowicz is a board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in Movement Disorders. He is a Professor of Neurology, serves as the Director of the UC Irvine Program for Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders, and is the Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Neurology. He spends the majority of his time in patient care, and is also engaged in clinical research, clinical trials and education. He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. Primary areas of interest include: Parkinson’s disease and related disorders, Huntington’s disease, dystonia, essential tremor and other tremors, restless leg syndrome, tardive dyskinesia, tic and Tourettes syndromes, and spasticity.

Meg Lambert, BSN, RN, CRRN, is the DBS Program Coordinator at Barrow Neurological Institute. Meg’s role on the DBS team is multifaceted—she serves as program developer, patient liaison, and clinical and educational coordinator for patients, physicians, and other team members. She also coordinates research activities for the DBS program. Meg began working at Barrow Neurological Institute as the admissions coordinator for inpatient neurorehabilitation before being selected as the first DBS Program Coordinator. She is trained in DBS device programming and has been certified in Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) motor testing by the Movement Disorder Society.
