Young Onset Parkinson Disease

Every person’s journey with Parkinson’s is unique, but being diagnosed at a younger-than-expected age adds complications that aren’t always addressed in typical resources for people with PD, which can make the chaos of a new diagnosis especially overwhelming and isolating. But you’re not alone, and you’re in good company. Welcome to a community of care, with education and resources for those in the prime of their lives and every moment after.

Young Onset Parkinson's Network (YOPN)

“To be a member of a community, you have to be vulnerable. But to be vulnerable, you need psychological safety.” – Andrea Merriam, PMD Alliance CEO

YOPN is our free, private membership community for all those diagnosed with Parkinson’s or a parkinsonism in the prime of their lives (<50), as well as their care partners.

Join Safe, Empowering Community

YOPN was founded by Anna Grill, a person with Young Onset Parkinson’s, to feature education and services for the YOPD community, by the YOPD community. YOPN joined the PMD Alliance family of programs in 2024. Read the story of our union here.
