PMDAmbassadors

PMD Alliance relies on the unique insights and lived experiences of our Ambassadors to direct local and national strategies of support. They volunteer their time, talent, and perspectives to refine and share resources, advise peers, support local events, and more.

How to Qualify

To become a PMDAmbassador, each person must be involved with PMD Alliance and the Movement Disorders Ecosystem in at least three of the following, ongoing ways:

Support Group Leader

Complete the on-demand Support Group Leaders Fundamentals Training and facilitate an ongoing support group for your community.

Community Advocate

Remain up-to-date about PMD Alliance’s resources and represent PMD Alliance at in-person events in your community.

Social Media Influencer

Amplify PMD Alliance’s resources to a larger audience through social shares and shout-outs.

Blogger

Contribute to our blog with an article at least once per year.

Speaker

Speak at an in-person or online PMD Alliance sponsored event at least once per year.

Healthcare Provider

Partner with PMD Alliance to put more accessible tools in the hands of your patients.

Fundraiser

Organize a local fundraising event for PMD Alliance at least once per year.

Researcher

Gather community insights, discussion topics, or local support contacts and share them with PMD Alliance.

Professional Care Provider

Get certified in Parkinson’s care through PMD Alliance and champion what you learned in your community.

Event Organizer

Help PMD Alliance plan, organize, and execute an in-person event in your area.

Wellness Instructor

Teach a recurring Movement Disorders’ focused wellness class that’s been ongoing for 6+ months.

Creator

Share 2 or more artistic pieces that we can showcase to our community.
