Young-Onset Resources
Every person’s journey with Parkinson’s is unique, but being diagnosed at a younger-than-expected age adds complications that aren’t always addressed in typical resources for people with PD—which can make the chaos of a new diagnosis especially overwhelming and isolating.
But you’re not alone, and you’re in good company. Welcome to a community of care, with resources for those in the prime of their lives and every moment after.
From the very outset, I saw people much further along, but still doing all these wonderful things. I thought, ‘They’re not letting it limit them. Why should I?
— BJ Bement, Person with Young Onset Parkinson's Disease (YOPD)

Educating with Humor: Amber’s YOPD Advocacy
Amber admits “there are days when I’m not okay, definitely.” But being able to see humor in darkness makes the hard days easier. “When I’m laughing, when I’m joking, I can forget about my disease for five minutes.”
