Solving puzzles is great for brain health for everyone including those with Parkinson’s. Gather a small team to exercise your brain as you walk around Yellow Springs solving puzzles suitable for all ages. Every participant gets to take home a small piece of art as a memento, and team prizes will be awarded. The proceeds will benefit the “Parkinson Support and Wellness” nonprofit. Cost: Teams of 1–4 people, $10 per person through May 15; $15 per person starting May 16; Limited to 80 participants.

Dancing with Parkinson’s
Wednesday, 2-2:45 pm Eastern Time, supportive discussion 2:45-3:15, Great Room and on Zoom
For people with Parkinson’s and their spouses or caregivers. This light hearted, invigorating movement class includes simple rhythmic exercises to music, and some vocal exercises. Exercises can be modified to suit each individual’s level of comfort and ability. This form has been shown to have positive effects on gait speed, strength, balance, and quality of life. This is a hybrid class with some participants meeting in the Great Room and others joining on Zoom. In person participants need to come in the front door, check in, then go to the Great Room.
Participants can register by calling 937-767-5751. A link will be emailed about an hour before class and opens 15 minutes before class starts.

We provide outpatient speech, language, cognition, myofunctional and swallowing services in-office or via telehealth for the most functional, effective, and convenient interventions to support you and your loved ones. We are trained in SPEAK OUT!®, Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT LOUD®), the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program, and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, allowing us to deliver highly skilled, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.

Located in Beachwood, Ohio, InMotion® provides evidence-based healing arts, physical wellness, education, support and symptom-specific programs that have been shown to slow disease progression and help people live well.
InMotion® offers all programs at no charge to its clients, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations to fulfill its mission.
Alpha Neuro Fitness is a facility located in Cincinnati, OH providing 1-on-1 exercise therapy training for those diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Symptom specific training includes: gait, balance, cognitive, boxing, flexibility, strength and boxing training with a plethora of multitasking all catered to the client. Along with speech therapy onsite and future plans to incorporate additional holistic therapies such as red light sauna, cold plunge, and vibration therapy.
