The support group empowers people with Parkinson’s and their caretakers on their journey to live their best lives.
- All States
Our group meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month. We come together both in person and virtually to share experiences, talk about Parkinson’s (symptoms, medication, interventions etc.) and we aim to create a space where people feel comfortable sharing and learning more about their diagnosis. Each month varies from open discussions, to guest speakers and occasionally we gather together for a social hour. If you or your loved one are interested, we’d love to have you join us!
Join us on World Parkinson’s Day to raise awareness and support for individuals battling Parkinson’s disease and Essential Tremor in Philly!
About the Be Still Foundation
The Be Still Foundation recently announced the launch of its inaugural Triumph Over Tremors Pickleball Tournament series, a nationwide event kicking off in April 2026 during National Parkinson’s Awareness Month. The series will bring communities together to support people living with Essential Tremor and Parkinson’s disease.
The Be Still Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring dignity and hope for individuals living with Essential Tremor and tremor-dominant Parkinson’s disease. Through education, advocacy, emotional support, and financial assistance, the foundation helps patients access advanced, incisionless treatment options that can dramatically improve quality of life.
Why Pickleball?
Pickleball has proven to be a powerful and accessible activity for individuals living with Essential Tremor or Parkinson’s disease. The game encourages gentle, rhythmic movement that helps improve balance, coordination, and mobility, while remaining low-impact and easy on the joints. Beyond the physical benefits, pickleball’s social nature fosters connection and community, supporting mental health, motivation, and overall quality of life.

Patients and care partners often have more agency than they realize. Through coaching and evidence-based medical guidance, we help people build sustainable habits in movement and nutrition, regulate their nervous system, and reclaim energy- addressing the physiological toll that chronic stress takes on the body and brain. Our programs are practical, non-restrictive, and built to fit real life.
Our Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Support and Wellness Group meets at the Lehigh Valley Health Network Health and Wellness Center at Hazleton once a month to provide a welcoming place to share information amongst each other through discussion and guest speakers. New members, family, caregivers and friends are always welcome!
