In the seminar, “Parkinson’s and Acupuncture,” Dr. Bennett will discuss how the disease affects the body, including common symptoms like shaking, stiffness, and trouble with movement. She’ll explain how acupuncture and functional medicine can help support people living with Parkinson’s disease.
Dr. Stefanie Bennett has been in practice for over 20 years. As the owner of Bennett Acupuncture & Functional Medicine, she and her staff are committed to serving the people of Orange County.

I AM Movement is a gym for older adults and adults with special needs. It’s home of Rock Steady Boxing Irvine. This is an adaptive boxing program that targets and challenges the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease to slow their progression so people can live fuller lives longer. Drills work on posture, gait, finger dexterity, voice activation, multi-tasking, memory recall, how to fall safely, how to recover from a fall, and more. We’re firm believers in “use it, don’t lose it”.
In addition to boxing classes, I AM Movement hosts a monthly support group for care partners assisting loved ones or clients on their PD and/or dementia journey. We also offer free seminars on various topics. Past presentations include: DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation treatment), Hand/Eye/Body coordination, “Ask A Neurologist”, voice activation, and acupuncture for Parkinson’s.
