We understand the overwhelming feeling of caring for a loved one with memory loss. Caregivers may feel they are all alone and not sure who to turn to for help or simply ask questions. Care Partner to Caregiver was founded by former caregiver and Advanced Certified Care Manager, Josie Zamora, Gero-BC, CMC, RN, who understands the journey of caring for aging parents and a parent living with Alzheimer’s Disease, as well as the challenges of trying to navigate a complicated health care system. Having a care manager as part of your health care team can reduce the stress and burden of caregiving, reduce health care cost, and provide a support system.
Telehealth virtual visits are not available at this time, but we do provide a one-time, 30-minute complimentary phone consultation for individuals and families in need of guidance.Â- Details:

Our monthly Gathering events are designed to help reduce isolation and offer valuable insights on managing Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders. At GAPS we are all about building community and uniting individuals, families, care partners and the professional community in the fight against Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders.

The Capital Area Parkinson’s Society offers monthly education, support, and social groups for people with PD and their care partners in the Austin Area. Additionally, we offer seminars for Parkinson’s Month and the newly diagnosed. Social Services and crisis funds are also available. All services are free at this time.
