Nate Coomer is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Founder of The Parkinson’s Fitness Project and DailyDosePD. He and his team of physical therapists work from a fitness studio in Seattle to provide those living with PD an online training program to combat the disease, no matter where they live.
Nate has been working with neurologic diagnoses as a physical therapist for over ten years. He received his certification as a Neurologic Specialist in 2010 by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and has centered most of his work in the past four years to treating Parkinson’s, gaining certifications in LSVT BIG, and Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!). He regularly participates in community events and educational opportunities for the PD community with APDA Northwest and the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation.

What I really like about Nate’s DailyDosePD program is the variety of classes that it offers – Tai CHi, Amp Class, Chair Fit, Dance, Yoga, and High Intensity workouts, for example – all within the same fitness membership! DailyDosePD offers a free 30-day trail of its online program, so you can give the classes a try and see if it’s the right fit for you. If you decide to continue with the program, there is a discount for signing up for an entire year of DailyDosePD access, which is quite reasonably priced for the wide selection of classes you are offered, plus a new streamed video workout each day. You can also find 9 free workout videos on their website by clicking HERE.

Here is a strong testimonial from Dr. Laurie K. Mischley, renowned for her naturopathic approach and research into Parkinson’s, on why she recommends DailyDosePD as a great holistic and cost-effective treatment for the disease.

For those of you wanting to keep your workout routines fresh, try new exercise approaches for a great cognitive and physical challenge, DailyDosePD could be a wonderful fit for you!
