At Parkinson Mentors Arizona (PMAZ) our mission is to connect individuals with Parkinson’s disease through peer mentorship, so each person feels supported and empowered. Our mentors are advocates, good listeners, compassionate, informed on local resources, positive in their outlook, and able to speak from personal experience. Join Ballet Arizona for a special Dance for Parkinson’s class with guest teacher David Leventhal. David leads classes for people living with Parkinson’s disease around the world and has trained more than 3,000 teaching artists in 30 countries in the Dance for PD method, which he helped develop from the program’s inception in 2001.
