We are a hub for Parkinson’s fitness, wellness, and support activities in South Jersey. We offer 20+ Parkinson’s-specific weekly fitness classes including Rock Steady Boxing, indoor cycling, yoga, ping pong, and much more, along with a robust support program featuring monthly community, men’s and women’s groups as well as a weekly care partner group. No JCC membership or Jewish affiliation is required to participate in our programs.
We are an area Support Group that spends the first part of our time together with the whole group; we then separate into Care Partners and individuals with Parkinson’s break groups. Many meetings start with a guest speaker/activity. 10:00am-Noon.
Join In Parkinson’s is a free virtual community for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, Lewy Body Dementia, and care partners. Join In Parkinson’s provides virtual conversation and support group sessions multiple times per week hosted by speech language pathologists and other PD experts! Join In Parkinson’s also offers online courses about Parkinson’s communication, chat forums, and more! Join In Parkinson’s is a great place to connect with other people with Parkinson’s disease and learn about the communication changes that come along with PD.
Rock Steady Boxing is an evidence-based, non-contact boxing program specifically designed to help people living with Parkinson’s disease. It is specifically designed to address Parkinson’s symptoms such as slow or small movements, imbalance, stiffness, flexed posture, and respiratory weakness.
