We meet x1 monthly on 2nd Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospital. If you are interested in learning about Deep Brain Stimulation or already have one and would like to share you experience, please show up. We have different presenters and have discussions.
We meet the first Friday of every month, 10-11:30 am, except in July. No membership or RSVP required – just show up for education, information, support and friendship. People with Parkinson’s, friends, family members and caregivers are all welcome. Most meetings we have a guest speaker and other times we have opportunities for Q&A and information/experience/resource sharing among the members in attendance.
Taiko (Japanese drumming) is a fun, cultural activity that helps improve physical activity, stress management, cognitive engagement, and social support. The class will cover taiko history and etiquette, San Jose Taiko’s philosophy, and basic playing techniques, which emphasize large amplitude movements, full extensions, trunk rotation, and using a loud voice. Care partners or family members are welcome to sign up and participate as well. No experience necessary, and appropriate accommodations will be provided for those who need it. Registration is required.
