Asking for help is one of the strongest things you can do, but it can also be one of the hardest because of past experience of not being heard, believed, or supported. Extreme stressors, life transitions, and traumatic events – including new or ongoing health conditions – affect every aspect of our lives and can make relationships – with family, friends, colleagues, and even healthcare providers – very challenging. The impact of these events can make us feel isolated, misunderstood, and unsupported (even by the well-intentioned). They can also lead us to make choices we aren’t proud of and limit our enjoyment of life in general.
My practice is dedicated to working with young adults-older adults who are living with stress related to life transitions, complex chronic illness (including Parkinson’s, Parkinsonism, Movement Disorders, TBI, Stroke, Epilepsy, MS, ADHD, and other neurological conditions), as well as with caregivers, medical providers, and allied professionals who serve these populations.
I believe in working with every client as a whole person not just as a collection of symptoms. My approach is compassionate and collaborative. Together we will create a safe and healing space to grow skills, help you create a new normal, and gradually process your lived experiences to achieve a life that feels more balanced, peaceful, and sustainable.

Parkinson’s Caregiver Support Groups serving spouses, Partners, and Adult children.
Each group meets monthly on a Wednesday from 6-8:00pm Eastern Standard Time.
Opened in February 2026, The Bandeen Center is New York City’s first dedicated facility for holistic Parkinson’s care. Our programming spans fitness classes—focused on building strength, improving mobility, and slowing disease progression—educational lectures, support groups, and wellness activities for both people with PD and their care partners. With a medical advisory board of practicing neurologists and a facility expanding to 9,000 square feet later this year, we’re just getting started. Here, people affected by Parkinson’s are empowered to live their fullest lives, in a community that supports them every step of the way. Visit our website to learn more or make an appointment to visit. Financial support is available for membership fees.

This support group is open to anyone living with Parkinson’s and to those supporting a loved one with Parkinson’s. It’s held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 2:00-3:30PM EST via ZOOM. Every one of our support groups are unique because we either have expert speakers who come to talk about various topics related to Parkinson’s, or we have open discussions. Therefore, we recommend trying our group more than once because there’s always different dynamics.
