If you have Parkinson’s disease and are taking levodopa as medication, here’s a tip for you. Did you know that if your levodopa wears off, you can chew a half tablet of carbidopa levodopa 25/100 regular release with something that has Vitamin C or ascorbic acid, such as orange juice, and it will be absorbed much more quickly than if you swallow the medication? This is good for when you have a freezing episode or if you are too stiff to move. It should work within 10 to 15 minutes!
